Experience an unforgettable journey into Banderas Bay for this once-in-a-lifetime eco-adventure. Every winter, from early December to late March, pods of humpback Whales migrate from chilly northern waters to the beautiful temperate security of Banderas Bay to breed, give birth, and nurse their calves. You’ll not only have an opportunity to witness these majestic marine mammals but also have a chance to spot wild dolphins, leaping manta rays, or sea turtles. Banderas Bay provides a thriving marine habitat for hundreds of amazing aquatic species.
This Ultimate Whale Watch expedition is limited to twelve passengers per trip – this is not one of those cattle-car whale sightseeing tours. You won’t be lost in a throng of rubberneckers, straining to hear the narration by a newly-trained teenager. Our expert marine biologist guide, Isabel Cardenas, will enlighten everyone on the biology, feeding and mating habits, migrations, and habitat of the majestic Humpback Whales. Isabel has directed the Ultimate Whale Watching operation for more than fifteen years. Ms. Cardenas has ongoing involvement in numerous oceanographic research projects with several scientific organizations including the National Geographic Society, the Institute of Marine Sciences in Ensenada and the Natural History Museum of L.A. County, California. In addition to her commitment to cetology research, Isabel is dedicated to providing education for future marine biologists. She is available for group lectures and field trips for school children. Kids and adults alike will be thrilled to witness the majestic sight of a gargantuan Humpback Whale breaching the surface of Banderas Bay.
