Pegaso Whale Watch Sailing Adventure

Pegaso Whale Watch Sailing Adventure

You'll always treasure the memory of this unique chance to witness the mammoth Humpback Whales in the gorgeous waters of Banderas Bay (Bahia de Banderas). This memorable tour allows passengers to experience a unique whale watching adventure while sailing. This four-hour eco-adventure will be the highlight of your vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

Set sail with the friendly English-fluent crew of the thirty-eight-foot sailing vessel, the Rhiannon. Our highly-trained staff will educate clients about these exceedingly intelligent cetaceans. Annually, these amazing mammals journey thousands of miles from the icy waters off the shores of Alaska. From the beginning of December to the end of March, an estimated twenty-two hundred Humpback Whales swim to the balmy waters of the Bay of Banderas (Bahia de Banderas). These gigantic creatures court, mate, calve and nurse in the protected waters of the bay. Keep your eyes peeled for a nursing mother with her newborn calf. Bring your camera and be ready to snap a shot of a whale's arched back breach the surface of the bay. You might even see a whale spout spray from its blow-hole, or splash its mighty tail.

Whales are not the only marine mammals indigenous to the region; you could also spy Spinner Dolphins, Spotted Dolphins or Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins. You may also see other species such as Blue-footed Boobies, Rays, or Sea Turtles.

Instead of watching Humpbacks from the confined space of a zodiac with a loud outboard engine or from the over-crowded deck of a party boat, enjoy a peaceful whale watching tour sailing aboard the Rhiannon. Tours on the Rhiannon are limited to only sixteen passengers.
