Wild Dolphin Connection Tour
We invite you to discover the lives and secrets of some of the most fascinating creatures on earth: dolphins. We are an organization that is committed to the research and protection of dolphins and whales and we want to facilitate education and understanding.
Come with us and experience the dolphins of Banderas Bay with our guides who are professional biologists and will be happy to share their expertise and passion for these wonderful marine mammals. By participating in our tours, you not only get to experience beautiful animals in their natural marine habitat, but you also support our research efforts. We began our work with dolphins in 1998, and part of it is concerned with the identification of the dolphins in the bay by means of their dorsal fin, the fingerprint of dolphins. We continue our research on the resident group of Banderas Bay that we identified to learn more about their life in the bay in an effort to support protection and conservation efforts in this area. Our tour begins with a light continental breakfast during which we provide information about dolphins, their behavior and lifestyle, environment, and different species. After this informational segment, we depart from Opequimar pier and head into the bay to go looking for dolphins and to tell you more about the dolphins we spot and dolphins in general. These are wild dolphins in their natural habitat, so we cannot predict when we will find dolphins during this tour. Depending on the dolphins we encounter, you might be able to swim with them. We cannot, however, guarantee this. The hydrophone system on board will provide you with the amazing opportunity of listening to the dolphins communicate with each other. We also have snorkel equipment on board.
Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to encounter these amazing marine creatures and learn and experience their intelligence and friendliness in their very own world.
