On this tour, we will take you to one of the most enchanting fishing villages of the region, located roughly 3 miles south of Yelapa. With a population of 150 inhabitants and a location that makes it accessible only by boat, this small town has kept the incomparable charm of a traditional Mexican fishing village. But the real attraction we are here to explore is the underwater world that will take your breath away.
Divers come to El Chimo because of its amazing rock formations. “The churches” are lava tubes that are covered with corals and extend towards the surface of the water. Marvel at the beauty of untouched coral and watch the inhabitants of these rock formations. Discover Las Torrecillas, underwater plateau structures with pinnacles that rise up. Discover and explore crevices and arches which are home to many sea creatures, such as turtles and beautiful and fascinating tropical fish. In the winter, look out for mantas and tuna. We will take you to this site on our 23’ Boston Whaler dive boat.

- Be in good mental and physical condition for diving.
- Avoid being under the influence of alcohol or drugs while diving.
- Be at least 10 years old, not be pregnant and not fly within a period of 24 hours after a dive.
- Certified Divers only with Open Water Certification card
- An Acknowledgement of Risk will need to be signed before participating in any of our dive programs.
